CADET INSPECTORS' BASIC TRAINING COURSE (CIBTC)
The Cadet Inspectors' Basic Training Course consists of 2 phases: The Residential phase conducted at HTCC and the Adventure Training phase conducted at the NPCC Campsite in Pulau Ubin.The duration will last over a period of 15 days inclusive a 4 days 3 nights ATC and a Passing-Out-Parade on the last day of course.
During the Residential phase, trainees learn about Working in Teams, Leadership Skills such as Facilitation Skills, Planning and Organization Skills, Methods of Instruction and they also learn to be more proficient in subject matters such as Campcraft, Drills, First Aid and Weapon Handing.
The Adventure Training phase serves as a Summary Exercise for trainees to get acquainted to the camp, to put in practice all that they have learnt during the Non-Residential phase of the Course and to organize the camp within the constrains laid down for them.
Course Objectives
1. To prepare Cadet Inspectors for duties in the units by acquainting
them with their roles in the NPCC.
2. To prepare Cadet Inspectors for duties in the units by developing leadership
skills and promoting team work through adventure training activities at
Pulau Ubin Campsite.
Targeted Participants
Former cadets who meet the following requirements are eligible to apply:
a) Currently studying or posted to the Polytechnics, ITEs, Junior Colleges
or Centralised Institutes
b) Hold a minimum rank of Staff Sergeant
c) Must be physically fit (required to pass the medical examination)
d) Possess both Campcraft and 2nd Class Drill Badge
e) Possess at least one of the following badges:
i) Adventure Training
ii) Marksmanship
iii) Swimming
iv) Life Saving
