POWERED PLEASURE CRAFT DRIVING LICENCE (PPCDL)

The course is conducted by training institutes, recognised and approved by MPA to conduct such courses. Usually held on a Saturday and a Sunday for each course, the PPDCL is highly popular. After the two-day training, participants will be required to sit for a theory test and a practical test. Venue of course will be informed through nomination forms.

Upon completion of the course, the participants must obtain the PPCDL license within 1 year of the starting date of the course, failing which, they will have to refund the entire cost of the course to NPCC HQ. A license holder will be required to serve as a safety boat operator in his/her Area's Adventure Training Camps as well as upon HQ's request. He/she is expected to serve at least 3 HQ-organised Adventure Training Camps each year, or until the end of his/her service in the NPCC, whichever is earlier. The course over a period of 2 days. Venues of the course will be released through emails.

Course Objectives

1) To train officers, honorary instructors and cadet inspectors for the PSA Pleasure Craft Driving License so that they can man the safety boat during sea activities in the Adventure Training Camps at Pulau Ubin.
2) To ensure that officers, honorary instructors and cadet inspectors acquire the knowledge of the Laws of the Sea and Safety Measures when conducting sea activities.
