The objectives of awarding proficiency badges to cadets are :

• 1) To sustain the cadets' interest in the Corps and to instil in them the sense of striving to do well.
• 2) To show recognition of cadets' achievements.
• 3) To encourage cadets to participate in more healthy activities.
