Introduction
The National Police Cadet Corps Unit Overall Proficiency Award (UOPA) is conferred annually by NPCC. It is awarded by assessing the overall performance of NPCC school units in an academic year. All NPCC secondary school units will participate in the assessment process.
Objectives
The objectives of the Competition are to:
- - Assess NPCC units on a balanced set of criteria
- - Promote excellence at all levels
- - Raise the standard of proficiency and efficiency in the units through the active involvement of both cadets and officers
- - Enhance the qualities of innovation and initiative that can bring out unique achievements in the units and
- - Foster Esprit-de-Corps.
Guidelines
All NPCC units participating in the assessment process of the NPCC Unit Overall Proficiency Award (UOPA) are to adhere to NPCC Directive Part I - No 3 and the guidelines contained within the UOPA Assessment Form.
Submission
Units are to complete relevant fields in the assessment form and submit it to the General Office, HTCC HQ. The deadline for submission is on 7 January 2011 (Friday), 5.00 pm.
Results
The UOPA results will be announced within two months after the closure of UOPA submission. The results will be published in the NPCC Orders.
